Don’t be a bystander
This is not love, this is control
Some of our clients were offered a creative space to explore their feelings and ideas on Welsh legislation to better support survivors of Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV).
They were asked to submit drawings, paintings, songs, poems, and any other kind of artwork they could think of to address the following issues:
- Increasing awareness and challenging attitudes of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence across the Welsh population.
- Building awareness for children, young people and adults on the importance of safe, equal and healthy relationships and that abusive behaviour is always wrong.
- Making early intervention and prevention a priority.
The following pages are filled with the beautiful pieces of art they’ve created. We are sharing them as part of White Ribbon Day 2020. This is a collaborative project with Safer Merthyr Tydfil and Llamau.
