ISVA Quality Standards Award

ISVA Quality Standards Award

Date: 23 October 2020 | By: newpathway

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the LimeCulture Adult ISVA and Children and Young Person’s ISVA Services Quality Standards.

Our dedicated team of ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advocates) deliver the highest quality of support to our clients every day. Some of the elements of the ISVA role include: advocating on behalf of clients to the police and crown prosecution services; liaising with other professionals, such as housing and health care; supporting victims through court cases and interviews; and offering emotional support, including coping strategies and a safe space to talk – and the list goes on!

Jackie Stamp, New Pathways’ Chief Executive: “We have had ISVA services at New Pathways since 2006, with the team growing to cover south, east, west and mid Wales. We are absolutely delighted to have gained this important accolade for our ISVA work; a mark of the team’s hard work, commitment to excellence and dedication to helping people who have been affected by rape and sexual abuse. Thank you to Lime Culture, and most importantly, thank you ISVAs!”

The team at New Pathways have been working towards these standards for two years, undertaking a six-stage process, including a thorough document review, interviews and a site visit. This process allowed us to showcase the quality of the support offered by our ISVA team.

Sarah Thomas, SARC Services Manager: “The whole process has been insightful and incredibly useful for us. We are proud to be the first organisation in Wales to achieve this Quality Standard, and we would like to thank Lime Culture for allowing us to measure our services against the highest benchmark of Sexual Violence Advocacy.”

We also want to recognise all of our funders and supporters, as we would not be here to deliver this much needed support to our communities without you.

Our SARC facilities are open 24/7, 365 days a year. You can self-refer, without having to involve the police. You will have the same support from our specialist team no matter which referral route you take and our ISVAs can talk you through your options. Find more information about our ISVAs and SARC services here.

If you have been affected by sexual violence and you need support, or you would like to find out more information about our services, please contact us by phone (01685 379310), email: enquiries@newpathways.org.uk, or contact us via our website or social media.
