‘I was talking about my childhood bedroom, a place of horror. My therapist asked what I'd do to the room now. My immediate response was 'blow it up'. She told me to, in my mind.
This progressed to just burning the whole damn house down. In the image in my mind, me, my therapist and my cat are there, just watching. My cat is a super hero. This is it translated on to paper. We have the protection of leaves. Where the flames touch the leaves, the flames cease to burn. We are surrounded by leaves. My cat doesn't need them, he's a superhero. We are safe from the flames, they cannot touch us.'
