New Pathways Counselling College

About Us

Since 2018, we have run a thriving Counselling College at New Pathways. As specialist sexual violence support providers, we have nearly 30 years’ experience in delivering specialist therapeutic support to adults and children affected by complex trauma.

We have a strong reputation in both counselling and training and provide a supportive environment with expert tutors who are both practising counsellors and qualified teachers. We offer a learning experience that is authentic and professional, from your first step into counselling through to professional development with an expert diploma in working with trauma and a certificate in counselling supervision.

We provide opportunities for course progression, in-house placements, and further CPD. As a charity, any income generated from our Counselling College is returned to our charitable services so we can continue to support people affected by sexual violence.

Counselling College Testimonials

“Level 3 Counselling with New Pathways is hugely enjoyable, the learning is wide ranging and skills sessions allow you to practice what we have learnt. If you are considering this course, I would not hesitate to highly recommend New Pathways. I have learnt so much and have grown in skill and confidence. “

“I have studied Levels 3 and 4 with New Pathways and have enjoyed following my passion for helping people. New Pathways has been very supportive and “ no question is a silly question “. I am halfway through my Level 4 and I am grateful for the support of my tutor and peers for helping me fulfil my passion “.

“Attending the Level 5 Diploma in Trauma Counselling has greatly enhanced both my knowledge of theory and practice and given me a greater sense of confidence in working with clients who have more complex needs due to severe and multiple traumas. Another enjoyable part of the course was being part of a group of peers meeting on a weekly basis. We had many great conversations about counselling, ethics, models and how we each work”

“’I am loving being part of the New Pathways community and my peers and I have formed a very close bond. The Level 4 tuition is excellent – really varied and thorough in both theoretical and practical learning. I am about to start my placement with New Pathways, and everything about this is organised really well and very professionally. The preparation and support we receive regarding our placements is superb. The Level 4 course is person-centered but it also includes a wide variety of general counselling tuition. I am so happy and proud that I am learning with New Pathways.”

“I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone with a real passion for helping people and in particular those affected by trauma to take the plunge. New Pathways were so supportive and professional throughout the course. I am proud to be part of such a worthy and charitable organisation”.
