Meet the senior management team

Jackie Stamp

After an early career in finance, Jackie joined New Pathways as a volunteer counsellor in 1995. After becoming a member of staff in 1999, she was instrumental in establishing the first Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Wales. Jackie became CEO in 2010 and has substantially increased the income and reach of the organisation. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Mike Wilkinson

Deputy CEO
Before joining New Pathways in 2008, Mike worked within the prison service, managing a therapeutic day centre and piloting a community-based counselling and advocacy service whilst also volunteering as a counsellor for New Pathways. Mike has considerable expertise in business development and became Deputy CEO in 2010. He holds a Degree in Counselling (CBT).
Matt Sheehan
Matt Sheehan
Head of Sexual Behaviour Services
Matt has a BSc in Psychology, BA in Community Justice, MSc in Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology and is a qualified probation officer (DipPS). He is trained in forensic and psychological assessments and interventions, has worked across forensic and mental health services, and specialised in harmful sexual behaviour, violence and complex trauma. Prior to joining New Pathways, he managed Youth Justice and specialist CAMHS services.
Dr Leigh Martin

Head of Business Development & Fundraising
Leigh Martin is an experienced 3rd sector business development professional, with experience of running a successful commercial retail organisation. After an early career as an academic research scientist, she has more recently worked in the mental health and housing sectors. Leigh is the author of 3 science textbooks and holds B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biology and a D.Phil in Biochemistry.
Debbie Woodroffe
Debbie Woodroffe
Head of Training & Research
Debbie has worked in health and social care for over 30 years. She is a qualified counsellor and supervisor and is a registered social worker. She has a Masters degree in Social Policy and has a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education. Debbie has a particular interest in the impact of trauma on both clients and workers. She heads both New Pathways' Training Department and its Counselling College.
Sarah Thomas
Sarah Thomas
Head of Sexual Assault Services
Sarah's passion started when supporting children and young people affected by rape and sexual abuse in South East Asia. She joined New Pathways in 2008 as a crisis worker and ISVA, before progressing to her current role. She holds several qualifications: ISVA qualification, Diploma in Counselling, BSC in Criminology and Psychology, Level 5 in Leadership and Management, plus ISVA Manager and Service Manager qualifications.
Katryn Bennett

Head of Corporate Services
As an experienced secondary school teacher, Katryn held management positions and taught on the University of South Wales P.G.C.E. course. In a change of career, Katryn worked within the voluntary sector, in domestic abuse and housing. Katryn joined us in 2012 and is responsible for corporate services and quality assurance. Katryn has a number of qualifications: BSC in Geography, P.G.C.E., MA in Education, Internal Verifier A1 Award, Level 5 awards in teaching Literacy and Numeracy, Level 4 in Advice and Guidance, and Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Amanda Cooper
Amanda Cooper
Head of Finance
Amanda is an experienced finance professional, with previous roles in finance administration, accounts control, management accountancy and finance management. She joined in 2012 and holds the AAT NVQ4 in Accounting and ACCA Year 1 qualifications.
