  • Members of the community (through open access courses)
  • Staff and support services of all educational establishments for students age 16+
  • Staff of community organisations
  • Staff in commercial and community night-time economy organisations

These workshops will help participants:

  • understand and recognise the diversity of sexual violence issues and sexual harassment/inappropriate sexual behaviour.
  • become more aware that they are often a bystander to sexual harassment/inappropriate sexual behaviour and some forms of sexual violence
  • develop skills to protect other victims and become an upstander in safe and achievable ways, which reinforce that this behaviour is socially unacceptable.
  • shift social norms in education by raising awareness around undesirable behaviour
  • understand where to seek further support for any issues that arise for themselves or other victims

Sexual Violence Training/Workshops including “Dealing with Disclosures”

These courses are suitable for

  • Staff and support services of all educational establishments for students age 16+
  • Staff of community organisations
  • Staff in commercial and community night-time economy organisations

These workshops will help participants to:

  • be better equipped to deal with disclosures of sexual violence
  • be better equipped to identify behaviors that could indicate possible risk of perpetration.
  • help shift social norms in education by raising awareness around undesirable behaviour

S.H.A.W. (Sexual Harassment Awareness Workshops)

These courses are suitable for

  • Students (18+) and other adults who are/at risk of displaying concerning attitudes/behaviours in relation to low level sexual harassment and/or inappropriate sexual behaviours
  • Children and Young People (16-18) who are/at risk of displaying concerning attitudes/behaviours in relation to low level sexual harassment and/or inappropriate sexual behaviours.

These workshops will:

  • provide awareness raising, challenge to, and disruption of sexual harassment and/or inappropriate sexual behaviours.
  • help shift social norms in education by raising awareness around undesirable behaviour
  • highlight the effects of these behaviours on others and the potential social and criminal justice consequences for people displaying these behaviours

Because of the sensitivity and stigma that surrounds sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual behaviour issues, this workshop can also be delivered as 1:2:1 provision if appropriate. These workshops stay within the remit of awareness raising and preventative measures for low level sexual harassment/inappropriate sexual behaviour. Please note children, young people and students already involved with the Police around sexual offending behaviour would not be suitable for this course.
